The Outer Worlds 2 - Horizon Point Station

This is the player's first encounter with gameplay - They are presented with a new world and a mission: Steal the rift research data from the Horizon Point lab and bring it to an Earth Directorate station in another colony.

The ship and docking bay set up the intrigue of the narrative and pull the player through them, all while building a foundation for the player to understand basic movement controls and core gameplay ideas such as the dialogue system.

I was responsible to take the layout and initial art pass to alpha state, mainly on the exterior areas such as the Main Courtyard, the transitions into and out of Security Ops, and the Corbins hut. Additionally I built upon the vistas that our Lead Environment Artist, Tony Tang, had setup in this level, and I added the extra power rails and powerlines. Other artists also contributed to this space. Jack Krawczyk and Chris Cheung built the majority of interior areas, and Laela Russel, who took the alpha state of the level and took it to the finish line.

I was also responsible for the arting up the explosion scene, and setting up the appropriate data layers for the different states of the building.
